1998 pulled from stuck in sand now vibrates

I was stuck in sand. front tires in deep. a 4x4 put a chan around the rear ? they dont have an axle, what is it? a rear control arm?The coil spring sits on it. anyway it is heavy duty and looked like the only place strong enough. it bent a little one the edge the part that is rolled a bit. and now it vibrates like wheel out of balance gets worse at 50mph.

So what is this part? and what do you think happened? is the rear kocked out of align? can I put a chain on it again and jam it the other way with any likely success?

I cannot find pictures anywhere or anything to tell me what this part is.(new info) OK, I think it is a rear control arm.
it looks fairly simple to replace, is it? I have to drive 300 miles to get home, will it make it?

Was this a good place to hook on to? if not, where else?

Thanks

More than likely, you have a bent A-arm which would cause misalignment on that particular side, but you should be able to make it home. Once you get home, you need to get some professional advice from a reputable alignment shop (not a tire shop, or Pep Boys). This needs visual inspection & alignment equipment to determine the damage!

Well thinkinhg the worst and not likeiing it, I started with tire balance cause it felt just like that. I did not think it made a lot of sense but it was free. The vibration went away. will still take a look at home but now I can drive the speed limit. I called it a control arm that might be the same thing, it loks like an A. New part is discontinued, one parts store in this town had nothing, would have had to go with junk yard I guess.

Still I am not sure why the balncing did it. perhaps it loosened a lug nut(s)
