motor swap all depends on what you are willing to spend and what your goals are. If you just wanna get some more pep out of your dx motor, then convert it from dual point fuel injection to multi point fuel injection.
If you want something a little bit better, you can put a d16z6 in it which comes out of the 92-95 civic EX and will bolt right into your car, just a few more wiring issues to deal with there. If you really want something fast then go with a b16, and if you have even more money, then a b18a (intgera ls) or a b18c1 (integra gsr) then you can get into the really complex swaps that are pure performance, which im sure others will tell you about. And before some people choose to correct me and talk about how you can make a d-series fast ... yes I know you can, but a b16 will be tight right from the get go So let us know what your goals with the car are and how we can be of further assistance.

Your options are pretty limitless....
Like the other guys said, its all in how much $$ you're willing to spend. Before you do ANYTHING.....You need to get the MPFI system. That's needed for ANY swap you plan on doing, whether its just giving the stock motor a bump, or if you're going all out with a Vtec motor. I went with the Zc, and I love it. Fast, reliable, and no electronic worries. Just plug and Play baby!!! |
