Tailgate won't open, part # needed

Hi all; While camping, I used my open tailgate to break up a bag of ice. I then closed the tailgate and discovered that night it wouldn't open again.
I borrowed a crescent wrench; removed the 3 bolts and discovered the tiny plastic retaining clip that ensures the rod stays on the handle pull mechanism had popped off on one side.

Can someone tell me what the GM part # is for these little plastic clips so I can either buy locally or online? So far I've struck out.
