2003 Dakota 4.7L Quad electrical issues

Have a 2003 Dakota Quad Cab with a 4.7.
Started having electrical issues where my left turn flasher would flash rapidly. Bought replacement flasher relay (new) and now both flash fast (periodically) and my rear cargo brake light stays on constantly. I put the old relay back in and brake light goes out. Also, periodically my automatic door locks will not lock. Started on the passenger side and has moved to the drivers side as well. I have no idea where to even begin. This gremlin is driving me nuts. Any good electrical techs. on here that can point me in a good direction? No codes being thrown and everything is periodic. Worked fine on my way in to work this morning. Came home from work with turn signals flashing fast. HELP!!!

Bad ground or grounds can cause your symptoms.

Re: 2003 Dakota 4.7L Quad electrical issues

made appt. for dealer. They're telling me it is most likely the computer but haven't even tested anything yet. Don't know how they're going to even test because it isn't acting up today.
I'm also told it could be bad grounds.
A number of people have also said it was the central timer module.
I have schematics though and cannot see where the central timer module controls the turn signals? It looks like the turn signals go thru the combination flasher on an entirely different circuit. Anybody know the answer to this?
Also...can I replace the central timer unit? I'm told it needs to be flashed?
