Re: ABS LIGHT Stays On

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Do you have any other problems on your windstar? Like cruise control not engaging, odometer or speedometer problems or the Brake like staying on too?. Just to make sure take a quick look at the brake pressure switch, it is known to be defective and ford has issued a recall on these models. Here's a link to the thread with info about it.

Re: ABS LIGHT Stays On

Have you experienced any humming sound while driving at a moderate speed? Maybe the wheel hub bearing is bad. Also when you replaced the sensor did you check the wiring for any cracks on the shielding?.

Re: ABS LIGHT Stays On

I am right there with you lazeit. Mine has been on for about three solid years now. In winter time it goes away and have come to believe its the ABS computer being crap.

http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/

Just had the recall done 09S09 that deals with leaking brake fluid causing a fire and of course I still have the problem along with a low tire pressure warning now too. ~grrrr~
