draining my trucks transmission without pulling the pan and changing the gasket
just trying to figure out where a drain plug would be on my auto trans of my 1996 f150 8 cyl ...dont want to go through the whole process of taking down the pan
thx maybe just a link for a detailed diagram on a tranny, so i can find the plug.... |

There is no plug. You can weld a bung and put a plug in when you pull it, or put an aftermarket pan on. There is no drain from the factory. Don't forget to drain the convertor too.

If you are going to replace tranny fluid, why not take the opportunity to replace the filter and clean the grunge from the pan?
