The Plainsman hits the Auction Block

The concept car known as the Plainsman (not officially listed as a Plymouth, but from the Plymouth studios) hits the auction block next weekend, but here's the whole story behind the car at www.automotivetraveler.com

What do you think?

Re: The Plainsman hits the Auction Block

From the side, it looks to me like a tan Lincoln Futura (basis of the first Batmobile) with a white Mercury Breezeway (reverse-slant back window) hardtop dropped on it backwards.

Kind of awkward, but as good looking as many American cars of the time. I think it was triggered by the sporty and expensive two-door Chevrolet Nomad and Pontiac Safari staion wagons.
