oil filter adapter--different bolts

Amazing the different bolts on these things. I was looking to see what size my allen bolt was just to discover that most of you have torx bolts. My '93 has a regular bolt holding the adapter, my 92 has what now appears to be a 14mm hex. You would think they would all be the same.

My '92 engine has a totally cracked adapter on it. But a real animal owned this car before me. I can see his work everywhere. Cracked this, broken that, even a dry wall screw through the castle nut on his home made lift. Seems, or I hope, that the engine is okay cause I'm throwing that into my '93.

Anyway, thought some of you may need to know the bolt size for the hex cause it's hard to see.

Re: oil filter adapter--different bolts

Just an update, I used a 9/16" hex to remove the adapter.
