New pc based scanner and software.

Back in 2006 I got a very basic scanner and free software. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=621259

And now I need something a bit better. I want something I can run on my laptop still that does multiprotocol and at least enhanced gm and fords.

I may get Palmer's scan XL Pro.

Anyone have some other ideas or pc based tools you like?

Thanks.

Re: New pc based scanner and software.

I got ScanXL Pro and enhanced GM and Ford. Not the most user friendly thing and some growing pains w/ my old laptop. All in all I might have been better w/ Auterra or auto-enginuity.

I also got OBDWIZ for free and like it real well.
