Electrical system completely dead

Hey people-
Went to start my p/u this a.m. and heard a 'click' and EVERYTHING immediately went dead the very second I turned the key, as if someone pulled the lead from the battery. I can only guess there is a "master" fuse that blew out.
Hope some one out there has an answer what may have caused this.
Battery terminals are fine, nothing has ever been messed with or customized electrically, all stock, so a short may not be the issue.
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

I've had batteries go out suddenly like you describe. Just, click and dead. No dim lights. Nothing. You'd have to try another battery, or take the one you have to the store to have it tested.

From your comment, I can't tell if that's what you've done, or if you're just saying the terminals are physically fine (clean, good connection).

Re: Electrical system completely dead

Thanks for your reply, this thread did not seem to drum up much help.
It was the battery. Of all the batteries I've been through in my life I've never seen one go out like that with no prior issues what so ever. I was sure it must have been some kind of master fuse or something blew out.
Live and learn!
Thanks again.
