Cooling fan out of balance
2003 2.0l 5spd Fan motor connector came loose and hit plastic
cooling fan and broke a 4" piece out between two blades. Repaired with some fine wire and epoxy but added enough weight I'm guessing to distort balance of blade when running, causes some vibration. Any suggestions how I can balance fan appreciated. Hate to spend the bucks to replace motor and blade when runs great. Only 50K on car. THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Re: Cooling fan out of balance
Better served to just replace the fan. You don't want to overheat your engine with a fan malfunction. $200 turns into $4000 with a new engine. It's easy to remove and disconnect. Shop around for the best price. I use germanautoparts.com, ecstuning.com, rockauto.com and vwpartsdepartment.com. Hope this helps!
