KA24e swap to DE
MY truck is a 4X4 nissan hardbody, and the engine blew up a few weeks ago with 275K. I've been looking for another motor in my area. and I finally found one. But the one I found is in a 98' frontier 4x4. The motor looks almost identical, except for the 16 valve, where mine only had 12 valves. If everthing will work and it fits, I am going to have to go and take out the engine myself and drop it in my truck. My question is for those of you have done this swap before, could you point me in the right direction?? As to what I will need to be aware of, and everything that will need to be changed. I just went to look at the engine tonight, and he started it up for me. The engine sounds good, and seemed to run ok with 110K on it. Thanks for any advice.
One thing, my truck is the older square front end, but the title actually says Nissan Frontier, not sure if this would make a difference.
