96 grand caravan serpentine belt issue with AC

hi i have a 3.3 engine with AC now AC Clutch isnt working and is burning the belt so van un driveable

so i asked for a belt for a non AC engine but the belt is longer from canadian tire is there a reason why and the picture on it how to set it up wouldnt work for what i got

any ideas

You can't bypass the a/c. The belt cannot turn the water pump if you try. You'll need to replace the compressor or find a pulley that replaces the compressor (may or may not be available for that vehicle. You can check with your local parts store to see if they can get one.
