97 mustang cd player won't work

Just bought car , owner said cd worked. Tried but there was a cd stuck in it . Took it out tried again won't take cd.The panel buttons lights up . Any help

Welcome to the Forum!

Pull the fuse on the CD in the fuse block. Put it back after a few minutes and try it again.

where is fuse locate ,is it the one under the steering wheel

Yes, it's the one in the passenger compartment under the wheel..

Didn't work, it's tough getting under there.When I took the cd player out of dash the first time ,I took it apart to get cd out than put it back in. The arm that holds cd into place is still up ,like it's ready to play,
