RX7 FD3s RE-Xtreme Time Attack Prototype
Hi guys
RE-Xtreme is my blog where I satisfy my rx7 obsession. I decided to make something unrealistic but super cool.  Base is a cwest RX7 from Aoshima in 1/24 Front is a fujimi RE-Amemiya Greddy 9 kit (utilising the left over parts.) The front bar is actually a Border Racing item as used on the black "Inital D" girls car. It has been cut and significantly widened. maybe 4" in real life.  Custom Splitter and undertray attached to the cwest skirts is a starting point. Custom bonnet is taking shape.  inital body shape will keep the "thin" fenders, for these to work in reality, there would probably be almost zero suspension travel. Race car...? no.  Top view shows the width added to the car. I have C-West light covers but I am unsure to use these. Maybe I I'll recess the cwest light buckets and cover half of them.  The last dilemma is wheels. Final choice is rays Gram Lights R57 GT in 20" widened with SSR Professor VF-1 lips. But GT-C and VR.G2 with SSR Lips are also options. Mad! The last project took a while, so this will be equally drawn out...

My vote on the rims would be the Gram Lights. Those things look SICK!
 2nd choice would be the GT-C's. Either of those would make them look "time attack". The SSR's just don't have that race/track look about them. Other than that GREAT job. I'll be watching.

Hopefully I can get my other projects out of the way so I can spend more time on this.
R57GT with Lips will go on the car. Decision Made. My other (normal) Time Attack project required the G2 as the 20" SSR did't fit so well. Russ.
