98 Grand AM SE - Power window intermittent issues drives window only

1998 Pontaic Grand Am. Issue: Drivers side window will not go up right away. I can press the button and it will go up a little, then I have to wait for a bit and press it again, then it goes up a little more. The longer I wait the further it goes up. But, never all the way up on the first or second or even third push of the button. The other windows appear to be fine. It almost seems like something needs to charge to gain some power to operate. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Is there a relay for just the drives window? any thoughts? Thank you

These windows have a thermal protection circuit that cuts out when too much current is flowing. This is in case someone wants to continue rolling the window up after it is already up. It heats up and then disconnects. After it cools down it reconnects. You either have something that is preventing the window from going up easily, your motor is bad, or the thermal protection device is bad. Try spraying a silicone lubricant (clear) down the channel where the window slides on both the front and back edges. Use alot. That will probably fix it for a while.

-yes his motors have circuit breaker integrated into motor circuit, but don't think that the circuit breaker is your problem, there was a tsb on connector at the master swithc which starts to back out on its own due to vibrations during door closing. Tsb recommended using tie zip.So stick it under the switch and tie it over the switch's connector. See if that helps. Also helps if you put some grease inside of the scissors' tracks.
