91 Accord lx starting problems

Ok, I have a long list of items, i have replaced and nothing is fixing the car. First off, I starting having problems with the car getting hot and shutting off, or being hot and not starting. I replaced the main relay and that seemed to work for awhile. I starting having the problems again, so i replaced the main relay again and problem still went on. I recentll soldered the contacts in the old relay and if the problem happened i would replace the relay but it did not fix the problem. I have also replaced the ignition switch and fuel pump. I have recently noticed that sometimes I am getting fire and no fuel and other times, i am getting fuel and no fire. Could this be a ECM problem? Is there a way for me to test the ECM? Could this be a ground problem?

Thanks for all help.

Re: 91 Accord lx starting problems

There are very good tips and suggestions on www.tegger.com.

There are three sensonrs inside the distributor. I would start with testing them. I think you can find the testing procedure in Haynes manual. Or just go to Tegger. It should be there.

Good luck,

Sam
