Clutch Master Cylinder

I hate to even ask, but I need a quick refresher course. Working on a 94 Wrangler. The shaft that goes from the clutch pedal to the master cylinder is dangling inside the firewall... completely out of the master cylinder. Swapping the master cylinder, but curious on bleeding procedures. Do I need to bench bleed the master cylinder like I would for brakes or just install, fill an bleed at the slave cylinder?
