Odd wire?

OK- a friend of mine just replaced the fuel pump on her 2001 Jimmie. Ran ok, then this morning will not start. She has changed the filter and the plugs (wires were almost new)
Also- can anyone ID this ground wire?

Where does it go to?
What brand of fuel pump did you install?
have you checked all fuses?
Does engine crank over good?
Got spark to all plugs?
Does fuel pump run key on prime up or engine cranking?
Got any fuel pressure?
Or how much?
