Bt44 1:20 amd
Hello friends. I would like to start another building in this forum saying that I really appreciate this space. I hope I can count on you guys and get help from everyone and be able to change a lot of information.
Well, the kit is from AMD. I have a lot of pictures and also have the manual from Tamiya´s BT44 1:12. I'm following both manuals (1:20 & 1:12). This is because I want to make a highly detailed model with some removable parts. So, both manuals will help a lot. Start of the work on the body (sanding and putty) ![]() ![]() ![]() After discovered the measures, I cut the new parts that will consist the new nose (2mm sheet) ![]() ![]() ![]() Cut off the original nose ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A little puty to get the correct shape ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The marks to get the correct design of the body ![]() ![]() ![]() New air entrances at the nose ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Naca air entrance. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Adjusting the nose to the correct format ![]() ![]() ![]() A new set of parts just arrives at home. Thanks to my friend Alessandro (the guy that runs AMD) ![]() Cut off of a little part inside the body ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cut off of the “castle” ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sanding the body ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More work at the “castle” (is that right??? How do you call this part?) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The backside of the “castle” was also remade and the shift hole as well ![]() ![]() More work here.... ![]() ![]() … and here ![]() ![]() And on the seat as well…. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh well…. Lets improve this part here also…. ![]() ![]() ![]() New front panel ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A little more adjusts on the seat ![]() ![]() ![]() New hole to get more precisely engine & body groove ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For now… that’s it! All comments and help are much appreciated!! |

Re: Bt44 1:20 amd
The start looks very promising indeed. Love it when there are a lot of changes to the regular model and you've posted a lot of photographs, thats even better.

Drago, you did an excellent job on the modifications you've made. You are turning a blob of resin into a wonderfull model. Keep it up, I will watch this one.
