2009 Diesel fuel filter question.....
I got a replacement fuel filter ( Wix 33733) for my truck and went to put it on today. To me it looks like its a completely different filter than the stock one I'm replacing. The new on is open on both ends, and the stock one is open on one end and sealed on the other.
What is the deal here.....is wix making proprietary filters, or has something changed with the filter manufacturing??? |

Re: 2009 Diesel fuel filter question.....
Went to the Dodge dealer yesterday to get a factory replacement filter....while walking back to my truck I opened up the box and it was the same style filter as the Wix brand. I went back in and asked the parts man whats up, and he told me that Dodge/ Cummins had changed the style of filter and that this was the new method of filtering......$110 bucks later I had the new cannister and filter combo in my hand and was walking to the door wondering why my a$$ wasn't hurting.....I was sure I'd been screwed....
