bad strut symptom question=-

98 lumina .135,000 miles. nice condition car. i know it,s about that time, but a friend changed his lumina struts and later wished he didn,t.
question =- at very slow speeds in a parking lot or very slow speeds on a wavey road it sounds like there,s a "pigeon" making noise under the front end. mostly on the passenger side.

Similar to a chirping noise? Best guess is a CV joint.

did you pull axle out of hub when you took the bolt's out of bottom strut so you could change them?

On Luminas you change the strut cartridges through the top, no lower disassemble is required. Remove the top mount through the tower and there's a special tool to unscrew the cartridge from the plate down there. They sit in an oil bath, you have to replace with the correct amount when you put the new ones in, or they will get hot.

James, do you know if he did this step?

Otherwise, he needs to just recheck the work. Something isn't right.
