Draft cars and trucks save fuel

When you draft other cars or truck on the highway at high speed (50 mph and more), you save a lot of fuel. It's one of the best way to save fuel as I found.

Cause the car in front of you block the airflow that normally slow you down. So you press less on the gas, you accelerate faster and you save a lot of fuel. Furthermore, the ride is quieter since you don't hear the wind sound.
And you have a better control of your ride if it's a small car.

The bigger the vehicle in front of you is, the bigger the the fuel economy is important. You don't need to be too close of the car (50 ft is good).

Don't stay too long behind in semi, cause you don't see what happen in front of you and can result in an important accident. Your life is more important than the fuel that you save. So the best compromise is to draft vans, like dodge caravan, Windstar... It's safer.

PS: it's the same technique used in NASCAR, F1, CART... to gain speed and acceleration.

A Windstar without having the check engine light is not a real Windstar.
