I have seen someone cram a 360ci V8 in one. It is all a matter of time an money. Also there are stipulations for being able to pass emissions.

I would consider sticking with a 4 cyl, about the same weight as the one you have now, otherwise you might have to change out your suspesion, also you have to worry about your transaxle and half shafts fitting.

Any engines you are looking at in general?

Lol, good reply.

I seen recently a job a local shop did. They were fuckin' around with a 1st gen. Neon and dropped a 360 in there. They welded all the water jackets in it and removed the radiator and entire cooling system. They had to do somethin' with the radiator b'cuz it was coming out the front (well, where the radiator was). They also made it rear wheel drive by makin' an arch in the middle for a drive shaft to go down. They had a used rear axel from another rwd and fit it in there... Dont know how, dont ask. lol! I'm not a mechanic but I love Neons! lol! After a few runs this bad boy rocked! They had to run the strip once and let it cool for an hour or so before launchin' it again. Only got 3 days out of the engine.... Go figure without a cooling system! lol!

So you ask what will fit in a Neon, and I answer... Anythin' you want to make fit. And a 360 is a big ass engine! lol!
