94 Grand Cherokee Laredo AC Drain

I cannot find the AC condensate drain on my 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo. 4.0 ltr, 4X4 Automatic. Passenger side carpet including back seat floorboard is soaked. My Haynes manual shows the drain on the firewall just outboard and above the starter. I cannot see anything from underneath look back toward the firewall in the location the manual has pictured. Water is sloshing under the glove box and spilling over onto the passenger floor.

Re: 94 Grand Cherokee Laredo AC Drain

ac drain clogging was an issue on these jeeps there was actually a factory service bulletin that said to use an 1.8th inch drill bit and drill a hole in the bottom of the case inside the car down at the bottom of the case where its slightly rounded and use a coat hanger or stiff mechanics wire to push the blockage out of the drain. on the grand cherokee it actually drains into the right side frame rail if i remember correctly . oh if you drill the case to eliminate the blockage get a rubber plug the right size for the hole and silicone it in place after your done
