Well, I think you mean custom kits, because you pretty much put any turbo you want on your car. It is all a matter of oil lines, intake, piping.

As for sizes, what do you want? Do you want a turbo that is going to spool quickly and dish out the boost fast but run out of steam? Do you want one that will spool slower but give you better top end? Or do you want one in between?

As for as what kind of turbo, only use Garrett, they are the best. They OEM out to other companies like Drap ande Greddy.

well you if you want a turbo that will work well, youll have to get a compressor map and do a whole bunch of math to find wich one will be the the safest and one that will give you the most power, not just any turbo will work. for civics a t3 or t4 from turbonetics will probably be the best, if you can find the june issue of sport compact car there is a great write up on turbos! although a turbo kit from HKS or Greddy will be the easiest way to turbocharge your civic!

if you do want to go with a T3/T4 turbonetics turbo, which I have and recommend, look into DRAG they make kits for most honda apps and use the turbonetics turbo.

drag blows. dont get it. ive seen a drag kit on an si and its SLOW>

based on the knowledge you've given ide say it would be best to buy a kit if you want to go turbo (which i dont think you should). revhard makes a kit for the si which is a great kit. you can run lower boost on the stock internals and get good results. revhard is the best mainstream turbo kit provider. period.

To my knowledge, no one makes a kit for the 2001 civic. So pretty much anything you decide on will have to be a custom job.
