Hey, DDog-
Installing a muffler isn't rocket science. A 5-year-old with a wire welder could do it. Pretty much anybody with a welder can install it in a few minutes. Flunky PS-They sell wire welders at Walmart for about $270. Go buy it, get your muffler on, and then take it back... |

How big is the inlet on the muffler? Maybe you should get a pipe that size from your cat back...it will help the car breathe better at the high-end too...you might need to get some peeps to bend it for you and not crush it tho..

You got a wire welder? Cool!
I'm comin' to your house to work on MY exhaust! I like ^^^^^^'s idea of keeping the exhaust pipe the same diameter all the way into the muffler. Hmmm...have you got a digital camera, or any way to post some pictures? It's hard to describe this stuff well enough to get useful information. Flunky PS-One thing I would advise, and that's to try to keep the stock hangers. You know those little straight rods? You want to be able to use the rubber bushings to mount, because that way it'll be like Honda wanted it: no stupid, noisy vibrations coming from the exhaust rubbing against the car's body. If you've got a cutting torch, or even a hack saw, you can cut the hangers off of the old muffler and weld 'em onto your new one. |

If i cut the pipe, how can i weld it back together. Are there connectors or sleeves i can buy or somthing. Or jus be creative? Also to go from stock pipe (1 1/4 or somthin) to 2 1/2 inch would require an adapter of some sort right? Do I weld the hangers on the actual muffler? This is just for looks:sun: No catback. Hey flunky i'll take some pictures underneath and send em to ya. What state are ya in?
