A/c problems
High guys! My problem is that every time my compressor kicks in , the engine stalls. I thought it mite need charging so i put a can of oil in. This didnt work and the a/c blows cold as ever. IAC problem? I know this to be one of the major tune ups for a injected vehicle.

Re: A/c problems
Do you hear a screeching sound when the compressor kicks in? If so, the compressor is likely seized up or close to it. I'm hoping when you say you added oil to the A/C you really meant refrigerant. Too much oil can damage the compressor. You almost never have to add oil, and if so it is usually included with the recharge can of refrigerant and will be labeled so.
If the comporessor is okay, then check the idle air control assembly. There may be a fautly A/C idle up relay or IAC valve stuck closed due to carbon buildup.
