HVAC blower fan intermitting

In my 95 Caprice Classic my blower fan for my HVAC works when it wants to. Somebody told me about some kind or thermal resister that might be the problem. What do you think? How can I check my system. How do I get to and where is my blower fan located? Please help!! Thanks!

the blower motor is under /behind the dash glove box..you must remove the covers to get to the blower motor from the passengerside ..this is easy to do ..the motor is usually n/g at this age...but it is possible that the electrical connections are fouled...

50.oo for new approx..
