I have a 95 escort Lx 1.9 liter that will not start. I drove home 4 days ago and last night I got into the car and it will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump and ignition coil. It turns over but will not start. Any suggetions will help?

Check the timing belt to see if it has broke or stripped some of the teeth off allowing the engine to be out of time. If the belt is broken or stripped don't worry, the Escort has a non interference engine, meaning the engine will not be damaged. Just line up the timing marks and put a new belt on.

Check the timing belt anyway. I mean check it enough to make sure it's still on. You did change the water pump and timing belt tensioner when you did the belt, didn't you?

If you are absolutely sure that there is nothing wrong with the timing belt, and the col pack and wiring to it is fine (and I assume you checked the resistance in the coil pack) then it could be the ECU.
