Bud Nastruck

This is something i have had in and out of the box many times and finally thought i would get it done. I previously had primed the body which has now been rubbed back removing any seam lines, added fuel filler opening and filled the large gap between the body sides and the rear tarp cover.

With the chassis i removed the front bars to better clean up the join of the firewall

and so far i have now added the jack posts.

These are what i am working towards.

Re: Bud Nastruck

Shayne,
Off to a good start I had forgotten about the #25 truck. Are you going to use the Bud NA$CAR decals because they both look very close?

Re: Bud Nastruck

A quick update on the slow progress. Have added some new bars to the front along with cutting out the molded clip on the inside of the nose clip. I hope to have this is some primer by the end of the week if the weather allows.

Re: Bud Nastruck

Finally i think i have finished with the bars at the front and time to get some primer on it to check the joins etc. With the sun out after a long week of rain maybe i will be able to get the red onto the body as well.

Re: Bud Nastruck

I managed to get a light dust coat on to check for seam lines and to make sure the added bars had joined correctly. Nice seeing it in one colour now and i am quite pleased with how it has turned out so far. I will hope to get some colour onto the body next weekend.

Re: Bud Nastruck

Well this was going on the old board so i wont bore you with all the old bits. It has almost been 12 months since any work was done on this one so i have pulled it out again.
Just started on the motor for now with some wiring, i shall paint the fittings then get the braided hoses in place.

Re: Bud Nastruck

It has been awhile between updates unfortunately, work has gotten in the way of pleasure. Not much but a little more work has been done on the engine area. I have added braided lines and installed the engine now, plus also added the exhaust. I wanted to use a Modern Motorsport resin system but it was just too large so I went with the kit exhaust.
I will now do some wiring on the differential and get that installed and I hope to wrap this up as it has dragged on way too long.
