Fuel Line Replacement

I have a 1999, Silverado, C2500, 6.0
I went to replace the fuel filter and the lines behind the fuel pump were corroded at a bend and are now leaking. I know the fuel systems now are pressurized. Can I replace lines with rubber hose and clamps? Also there is some funky looking way the steel line connects to another type of line running up in to the fuel tank. Before I break it does anyone know how to seperate it? I wish to run rubber from funky connecter to fileter and on to other side of filter.

you can make a flare on the good section of the metal fuel line and install a new section of steel tubing ..then connect the fitting that you need to make the filter connection..parts should be available at the store..

It seems no car company makes it easy. I replaced with steel lines and compression fittings at joints. They use multiple kinds of fittings, Quik Connect/Bead ends, and other various types. Was a long day in the sun.
