1999 528i Radio Stopped Working

Is there a known problem with radios for my model/year? Last week, the radio shut off for a few minutes, then came back on, then worked fine for a few days. The last few days, it comes on when I first start the car, then shuts off. Today the clock was displayed, but the radio wouldn't come on at all. Is there a possibility it's just a loose wire or is the radio a goner?

Everything else works fine, so it's not a fuse issue (at least I don't think so). Any advice is appreciated.
