engine swap
I have 96 CAVALIER WITH A 2.2 and a busted head and I want a 2.4 or better. Do I have to get a new engine and transmision or is it possible to convert the existing transmision. Any help or sugestions on were to get a 2.4 or a better for a good price would be helpfull

the tranny is the same unless its the tranny from the z24. As far as the motor swap buy brand new and go with the ecotec its 2.2. Stock the motor will beet a stock civic Si.

yes i have a 1997 cavalier with a 2.2 as well what other type of wngine will fit it a a price range please. thanks

are u wanting cavalier motore or something else. cuz i saw some where about a 350 fitting into a cavalier making it rwd!!!

i was wanting to see if there was something else but if not then a cavalier engine will do and what did you mean by rwd. well thanks and if possible try to be a little specific on the engine type and the year model you can thanks

you will want a parts car to swap from, you'll need alot of stuff it will take a good bit of time to do, and expense? how ever much you can get a complete parts car for.

hey, i gots a 2.2 95 cavy wit a blown head and i have been fixing up a 01 z24 engine not knowing if itll fit, can anyone who has done a swap with these break it down for me, thanks

basically just take a look at your current engines mounts... if they match then its all greens although youll need all the codes and stuff from your dealer.. but im pretty sure the mounts are exactly the same as they are the same generation
