Talking 200mph!!!!!

:o my dads company car escort 1.8TD has the gearing to do 200mph!!!!!! IN FIFTH it makes 15mph per 500rpm .at 3000rpm it does 85mph and the revometer goes all the way to 8000rpm so if you took the rev limiter out and were prepared to blow up the engine you could reach 200mph !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

Re: 200mph!!!!!

If TD stands for TurboDiesel, your over ur power curve at about 4500 rpm. If you got the car past 130, that thing is so light you couldn't control it without performace suspension and body kits for downforce...a company car wont have any of that....I'll call your bluff...
