Re: 07 Silverado Brakes

would you say its more of a pulsation? Can you feel it in the steering wheel (front rotors warped) or in the seat (rear rotors warped)

what type brakes in the rear do you have drum? disk?

you need all 4 wheels to stop the vehicle. if the rear brakes are not doing much brake effort the front rotors will get heat damaged...

if the front calipers / brake pads are not releasing this will also cause rotor brake pulsations ..

because you have drum brakes these will need to be adjusted to properly balance out the brake effort front /rear ....adjust the brake shoes ..if the shoes are worn only at the top of the shoe replace the drums////never cut drums this causes even worse brake effort because the shoes do not match the drum radius ...

since asbestos is no longer used in the pad material the drums wear out every shoe change ...this is the problem with the brake drum design....but at least you have a true emergercy brake ..with the rotor GM design like in my 2000 SIL it is only a parking brake and only on a slight grade that all its good for ...
