Exhaust Question

OK i have a 96 Integra LS. And I wanted to get a new exhaust but right now me and all my friends like the way the car sounds stock, it doesnt have that high pitch sound. But i want the new exhaust for the extra Hp. I was looking at the Greddy Evo. I wanted to know if that is a good one or if that one will give me that gay high pitch sound? Thanks

Greddy Exhaust

I have a Greddy cat back and all. It sounds really good, I wouldn't trade it for anything. It has a nice low throaty sound but you can still hear it coming. It's just an opinion but I would go with it.

Two statements I believe are completly untrue. " Low and throaty " are two words that should NEVER be used to describe Greddy. If I gave you a Spoon or Mugen exhaust would you trade me your Greddy? No...........REALLY????

just make sure you keep the stock resonator. if you find your exhaust is too loud, have an exhaust shop weld in a longer resonator. it will work wonders.

I feel the words I used to describe it were perfect. But since you don't, maybe it was you car I heard that sounded like a lawnmower going down the street. You use such big words for a man with such a little dic...tionary.

As for the person who started the thread my Fiance owns a shop and we do alot of show cars. So it is not just me that feels GReddy Evo's are the best. We are always having show car enthusists buying GReddys. They really do produce a great sound and at least your car won't sound like a weed eater while driving. Apexi N1 is also a good investment as far as exhausts do.

Yeah alright you flamer. Who gives half a shit about your fiance owning a shop that sells air fresheners, hyper gay headlights, and seatbelt pads? People who buy from shops are'nt enthusiasts they're called wannabe's. Go to any shop and buy the damn Evo. Every ricer on F&F has one so it has to be the hottest thing on the market right? Two words describing the Evo......... irritating and ricey. Are those words big enough for you? :finger4:

did I say dictionary ?Oh I meant Dick.....tionary. What do you think we own Discount Auto Parts? If you've been to any car shows I'm sure you've seen our booth, oh wait by the way you're talking I don't think you've been to a show in your life. I don't believe I saw you at Nopi with your Spooner (unless it was you boyfriend) because you would have bee laughed at. Sorry my shop doesn't sell the LED light up exhaust you were looking for. Why don't you describe irritating and ricey for me . It's the hottest thing because the GReddyEvo1 catback exhaust sounds the best and performs well above the others (check the stats). Your bolt on weed-eater that you attatch to your 1 1/2 in. stock exhaust. I got a straight 15hp gain just off the Greddy. What you get off your bolt on??

by the way what are you driving and what have you done to it??

P.S. why would you say the EVO1 is irritating and ricey?

In lou of all this fueding (from someone who obviously has NO CLUE what he is talking about, an exhaust system (including catback) is an important purchase. You should try to go out and listen to the different types and pick the one that is best for your taste. Just remember You get what you pay for.

15hp on a civic EX?!?!??! HAHAHAHHAHAHA...don't EVEN call b16ej a ricer if ur gonna post BS like that. too bad u got MAYBE 3-5hp to the wheels, an 6-7 to the crank. Single cams don't take well to simple bolt-ons, ANYBODY who actually know's honda's would realize this.

but...prove me wrong, post up ur dyno sheet that SHOWS the 15hp gain...not one from the net, but YOUR dyno sheet.

why is the greddy evo ricey an irritating? uh...because of the weed-wacker sound it gives off, an for sounding like shit...which irritates ppl.

big deal, we think it sounds like shit...atleast we aren't trying to back up ours w/ bs. its personal preference, an ur jus starting a flame war.

btw...tanabe exhaust is better then greddy EVER will be...on sound apearance and gains.

DJLost you're an idiot. Take a look at all the exhaust shoot outs that any dumb ass mag has done. The dyno proves that Tanabe has put out more hp/trq than the damn evo tested on many cars. The dyno also proves that the Evo out puts aren't even in the top three and as far as my mods....... they put yours to shame anyday. I've never paid shop prices for anything and IMO shops are BS and so are shows. I've done all my own work and paid half the price for the shit I have. Shows are for people who give a shit about what other people think and never enjoy shit to the full so you just keep putting around with your weed whacker exhaust and maybe if you're lucky you'll get to hear my VTEC blowin out of my TANABE RACING MEDALLION over your weed whacker while I blow by your POS.

personally, I'd say go with the evo... not trying to get into the middle of an internet fight but imo it does have a nice deep sound to it, I have it on my teg and my g/f has it on her civ and we both like it... just my 2 cents.

As far as paying full price. we nver have either , because we own the shop. its been proven that a Greedy EVO 1 Cat Back exhaust can give your car an extra 10-15 hp. Also the person who mentioned the Tanabe was correct because its also a very good exhaust....However its kinda funny you never mentioned Tanabe till someone else did. ... Just because your car isn't good enough to show doesn't mean you have to knock other people who take pride in thier work and would like to share it with others...as far as your mods blowing mine away anyday is a stupid thing to say when you have no idea what i have done to my ride.

as far as this back and fourth internet war you seem to be enjoying (since you have nothing better to do) is becoming chidish.

If you read the last line of my previous reply you would notice it says everone has thier own opinion on exhaust systems. so my opinion is enjoy yours while i enjoy mine ...tilll then .....LATE
