What brand and what WATT amp

In about a month I'm going to get an amp and subs for my car. I need a amp to run for my speakers.. I have Pionner 3-way 6 1/2 200W and Pioneer 3-way 9x9 220W. What would be the best amp to get to run for those and what Watt. Thanks:flash:

do you want to run all four off one amp or off 2 separate amps (one for front & one for rear speakers)? or do you just want a 4 channel amp and run all 4 off one amp (means extra wiring, but not much). also does your car have factory tweeters in it like mine does (up on the dash near the windsheild)? but if you can find a nice 4 channel amp with about 400-700 watts max should be able to handle all 4 speakers to the point of blowing them up with lots of pretty sparks, anything over 300 watts should be enough for those poineer's though, just be sure to check the rating per channel and make sure it does not exceed the max wattage for the speakers. a 300 watt amp should do you fine with 4 channels.. I dunno what your price range is so I can't really suggest any brands...

Yeah I was originally just wanting to run all four on 1 amp, unless it would be better or cheaper, to run two, either way.. I'm looking to spend about 300 or less on an amp(s). The guy up at Best Buy said the Kenwood 4-channel 500watt amp would be the best to get and they run about $235. Oh and yes I have those factory tweeters in the dash.. I don't know how to get them out to change them. If I get an amp would it kill my tweeter? Thanks

well easiest way to protect those tweeters without ripping the dash out and changing them would be to buy a set of bass blockers, and put them in the line to the tweeters. Also that 500 watt 4 channel amp should do fine, just be sure you wire it correctly, and that your headunit has 4 channel outputs.. It should have them, but some head units only have the RCA's for the subwoofer. good luck.

most cd players come with an all purpose preamp, meaning there isn't anything special about it. some cd players have a non-fading preamp for a sub amp and some have a preamp for front speakers that blocks low frequencies. for a 4 channel amp, if you only have one set of preamp outputs on the back of your cd player, get two Y plugs and that'll fix that. and I'm pretty sure that your Pioneer speakers right now are no where near 200+ watts. I'm pretty sure it's really about 50 watts RMS for the 6.5" and i'm not sure about the 9x9. Those are max numbers and you don't wanna go by those numbers or you'll blow your speakers to pieces when you turn it up. and about thoses bass blockers, you wanna run those inline on your positive wire
