how much PSI to run on KA?

I just ordered a XS turbo kit, it should be arriving shortly but i need some help. How much PSI can i run on stock 240SX engine(1995). It comes with an intercooler and the turbo can safely run 20psi but can the engine handle it? How much hp do you think i will gain?

yeah run 20 psi. go ahead. run it. i dare you. c'mon. rn it. run it. RUN IT BITCH!!!

naw just playing. run 4-7 psi, keep it safe untill you can get new internals to strengthen your powerplant. pistons, cams...etc. but KA's run for cheap so do what you want.

as i was being an aprentice at speed world, i learned that the super AFC doesn't really do that much, you still need a boost dependent fuel pressure regulator to enhance the fuel flow rate.

example: your cars stock injectors are running on 75% duty cycle without boost, now you tune your injectors to run at 100% duty cycle with the AFC, its still not goin to have enough fuel becasue thats the mechanical limit of the injectors. however you can compensate for that by adding more pressure goin into the fuel system. so thats what you need. a fuel management unit. the AFC basically allows you to fine tune the car.

you can fuck around with the injector duty cycle up to 50% but thats already goin to the mechanical limit of the injectors. if you upgrade the fuel pump and the injectors, you can do more with the super afc

I think that you should keep it to 10psi or under, due to fuel limits, not internals. I was lead to believe that the newer KA has a rediculously overbuilt bottom end. I think the rods can handle like 300+ hp....someone correct me if I am wrong though. But I always thought the KA was close to bulletproof.
