Stroker kits

I love my integra but I want a little more bottom end. I found this
http://horsepowerfreaks.com/HTMLVersion/CROW_STRO.html
do any of you guys have a stroker kit or know how well they work.
B18 Series (A, B, C) Stroke 87mm Bore 95mm Total Displacement 2.26L $2,296.70 is the one im looking at, I haven’t found much on them, one guy said they may cause the top end to crap out. What do you guys think?

top end WOULD crap out. Acura intended the car to have low torque yet high horsepower with smaller displacement yet a high revving engine. you want more power, get high compression pistons. Prolly a lot cheaper and you won't alter the car's intended design.

torque is better to have at high rpms than low because you can take advantage of gearing. so say you have an integra that has 120ft/lb of torque @ 4,000 and another integra with 120ft/lb of torque @ 8,000, the one with torque at 8k will outpower the other..

yeah, but if you put a stroker kit on it, your torque might be at 4000 (which i agree is better) but your red line will be a lot lower (for the ske of argument at 5800). You're not getting gain by putting that kit in....

they just said if you stroke it that much 1.8 to a 2.4 it wont last as long. Im not going to turbo the gs-r, too much trouble for not enough power.

If you stroke it from 1.8 to 2.4 you will destroy your R/S ratio, but that's just because your adding 1/3 of the displacement to the car. You could stroke it to 1.9 or 2.0 and have a very nice setup. For the cost though it would probably be cheaper to get a B20 long block add pistons/rods and slap your GSR head and tranny on there. That's what I'm working on right now.
