finally engine mounted

so after a very long time, i finally got most of the stuff i needed and i put the motor in the car. now i had trouble with the front chassis mount so i just chopped it off. so im dropping it in, i get the rear mount on ok, then it takes me alittle while to get the passenger side on, almost stripped those tranny mount bolts, but after hours i finally get the tranny side mount on. so i leave it like that for a week because i had to go back to school. so i came back today for the day and i got a job, woohoo, finally, its a gas pumper job at a 76 station for 7 an hour. ok so i was trying to get the drivers side mount on and its a fucking bitch because when its on the motor it doesnt line up, and when its mounted on the chassis it didnt line up. so i was getting mad, but after alittle shimming and me snapping a 2x4 trying to pushing hte motor to get the mount to line up, i finally get it. so now i got all 3 mounts on so my motor is finally mounted.im so happy. but then after i looked at the mount and its really messed up, like the mounts are crooked, like the metal is facing one way and the mount and that bolt thingy that goes through the mount, with the rubber is pointing at another angle, the drivers side and the passenger side moutns are like this, so i give it about 3 hard launches then my generic ebay rubber mounts are gonna break. sucks for me. but lucky i just got a job so i can actually afford mount in a few weeks, because i will only be making around 180 a week which sucks. so yeah, ill let u guys know when i finally get it started and ill post some pics after once i develop the pics

Hey, CivicKiller.
Congrats on finally getting it bolted up. I hope your mounts hold up better than you expect.
I do know that release of tension that comes from finally conquering one part of a mechanical ordeal. For me, it was doing my clutch the first time, and finally getting the transmission stabbed and all the bolts started.
Unfortunately, anyone who has never grunted, strained, and felt the universe was conspiring against him will never understand how good it feels to finally get where you wanted to be.
Flunky
PS-Did you manage to skin up all your knuckles and fingers, and get grease worked into all those little wrinkles on the backs of your hands? Take some acid and check that stuff out for a couple of hours.
PPS-I wear leather gloves for most of that stuff now. My hands have been torn up too many times, and they gotta last.
