Need help, Have to store my modeling materials

Its finally time for me to move out of the house that I'm in. Due to the circumstances, all of my modeling "gear" will have to be stored for an unknown period of time. Unfortunately climate controlled storage isn't an option at this point. I need storage ides for the following stuff, as well as an idea of how long it will last, my primary concern is my 2 gallons worth of casting resin. Can someone with experience with this stuff chime in and give me an expected shelf life in storage? I am in Texas, so temperatures are going to range from 100+ to the mid teens in the winter. I'm thinking it may be best for me to just find a buyer for the resin and not worry about it. I've also got all of my bottle paints, as well as fresh urethane clear and hardener, and various colors of automotive urethane paints, all of which are in the "tin cans".

Also, does anyone have recommendations on storing my completed builds? packing and such?

Just send it all to me =) just kidding, only advice I got for the models is to pack 4 of them in the boxes that they came in, and than store those boxes in a bigger box. Has worked for me, and I've moved at least 5 times in the past 3 years.

I stored stuff in my garage for 6 months including through the summer. it gets 115+ here.

I work with resin every day. it is polyester containing styrene, almost identical to what models are made from and even closer to resin transkits. This type of resin can shrink over time especially in extreme heat. It will also absorb moisture and yellow with UV exposure. This includes normal model kits.

If you store your resin, or any kits, I would do it in an airtight container that wont be affected by heat. Just for good measure, wrap the container with black duct tape.

I would donate or sell your paints if you dont know how long it will be. mine lasted 6 months in the garage just fine.

Seems like you need to make sure all your paint bottles are tightly sealed so your paints don't dry out.

I guess everybody has paint bottles whose paper gaskets have gotten soaked and messed up so they don't make a good seal.

Most paints come in Paasche bottles or similar. But I can't find a store where they sell the gaskets separately. I've only found cap & gasket combos at ridiculous prices. Tower wants 75 cents for a 1/2 oz. cap & gasket combo; it's item number LXYU23. The one-ounce combo LXYU26 is a mere (?) .80.

Of course, you can always use the old trick of turning the bottles upside down. I don't know whether it really works. Just hope they seal instead of leaking!
