I just want everyone's opinion on what's better for max hook and tire life. I'm just trying to decide before I go out and spend my hard earned money. Also what's a good size to run, they will be going a 16"x7" rim. Right now I'm running 245/50's with no problems, how wide can I safley go?

Nitto's are made of harder rubber compound, there for would out last the softer BFG's. But the BFG's would become stickier when heated so they would be much better for the track! :alien:

uh...
ok. Nitto DRs are made for the drag strip. The ET Ex are made for the road, but get sticky real nice on the track: 3.5k rpm launch and you still bog down. Dunno about BFGs, they cost too much. |

can't go wrong
just choose one. dario orlando choose to nittos as standard equipment for his steeda stangs. and the svt cobra r, the fastest, best handling mustang has bfg's on them. hey, they wouldn't just choose any tires...have you seen kelly tires as oem on any hi-po stangs?

Nitto DR's last a little longer, and hook decent (ive seen a LX Coupe mustang w/ heads/cam 302 pull the wheels 2-3" on the street with bald Nitto 265/50R15's).
The BFG's dont last as long, but definetely hook better. If Nittos were a better hooking tire, they would hold the Drag Radial record, BUT, BFG's currenty hold that record with a 8.46 @ 169 (MSP Single Turbo Supra). Not bad for some off the shelf Drag Radials

Agreed with what has been spoken.
Price: Nitto. Traction: BFG. Life: Nitto. Make your call based on that. Heh.
