An ls vteck is an ls block with a b20 head formally known as a frankenstein motor.

Then I think you mean an LS VTEC. Iv never heard of VTECK. And since the B20 is not normaly a VTEC engine, then I think you actualy mean an LS block with a B18c or B16a head, which yields a higher compression ratio and slight larger cupic capcity than a B18c. The B20 VTEC is a B20 block fitted with either the B16a or B18c head to give it VTEC. Both are known as Frankenstien engines. Fitting a B20 with an LS head sounds a bit silly to me, as I think you will find they both share the same head (or a very similar one) And in all cases I would have to choose the B18c, while the LS and B20 VTEC have been proven to work, I dont think the gains from the extra capacity are worth the amount of work required, or the still unresolved reliablity issues associated with matching a block, cranks and rods up to a head it was never designed to take, and useing the combo to produce hp numbers they were never designed for. With the right work done to a B18c the same gains can be realised with out the same sacrifices to reliablity.

yeah a ls veteck is a b18 block with a b20 head which is pretty high compression motor i think its like 10:5:1 and a gsr is think 9
1. which would make the ls vteck a faster motor about as fast as a type-R.

It's VTEC not veteck or vtek or vteck or vtech... Personally, I don't care what you call it, I know what you mean, but some people get their panties in a bunch when they see it spelled wrong, and they'll give you a rash of crap about it... Just a helpful hint.

LS/VTEC = B18 block, B16 head. CRVTEC - B20 Block, B16/B18C head aka Frankenstein. What B20 head is a VTEC head?

Im missed a class this morning and Im bored! I consider any mixing of parts that were never intended to be together to create something new as a Frankentein. So the LS/VTEC, or a non VTEC D series fitted with a SOHC VTEC Head, or a 4agze fitted with a high port 4age head, or a 240z fitted with an RB26det, or a non EF9 4g fitted with a B16a etc etc etc
