Hmmm, let's see here - where to start? I was looking through fueleconomy.gov and decided it'd be fun to compare these two.
HWY gas mileage: Enzo: 9mpg GV: 31mpg (for the 4spd) Estimated anual fuel costs: Enzo: $2750 GV:$802 Pollution in tons per year: Enzo 20.40 GV: 6.50 Passenger space: GV: 80 cubic feet Enzo:??? (can somebody find this for me?) Now suppose each car is at the hardware store, both have to haul five bags of fertilizer, and drive as far as they can get on one gallon of gas over an unplowed field - who'd win?

Where the hell do you come up with this stuff? Its pretty humorous. You seem to have some wierd fetish with Yugos, why? Just curious, b/c to each his own. Or course the Yugo would win, b/c 1) The Enzo would run out of gas first and 2) I wouldn't even attempt or thinking of driving the Enzo off the road. The Enzo still kicks hella ass.

Of course you'd drive an Enzo through a field, it's all in the name of science - isn't it?

Well, I wonder...
What would happen if I use the gallon in the Enzo to get as much of a start as possible "on road" and hit the edge of the field at ~180 mph? Maybe I could launch it all the way across. ![]() Flying is easy; landing is hard.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. Is the field flat and hard? or rough and soft? Because Im sure the Enzo could work up quite a turn of speed with only a gallon of gas, and quite easily travel further than the GV. (at 300kmh you go a long way very quickly) But if the field is very rough, and rather boggy then I would have to say the GV would stand the better chance, as its higher ground clearance would enable to get further. The Enzo is useless if its wheels dont touch the ground.

A very valid point! And if you read the question it does state that they both start at the Hardware store, so there has to be at least a 100m run up to the field, more even if the Enzo was turn around and drive the other way down the road first. I think the Enzo wins this one!

Now you're thinking. I was going to ad another restraint to judging the cars just for the point of speculation: distance to time.
The Enzo has the potential to go much faster than the GV, but it's less likely to be able to make it over a slightly grassy, bumpy field. So who'd go farther in the shortest time? On pavement it'd be no contest the Enzo would definately go farther in the shortest time, but over an irregular surface with limited gas, what'd happen?

That goes back to Jays point, if they get a run up then at 300kph the Enzo will fly a damn long way over any surface.

Except that they both start on unpaved surface.

Well in that case you need to rephrase the question. ![]() And to answer Ill go back to my answer above with regards to the surface being traction limited.

In that case - can you even get five giant bags of fertilizer into the Enzo? (and should I subtract the 20 minutes of "thinking time" the Ferrari owner needs before he attempts this?)

Not to mention, anyone who can afford an Enzo, probably doesn't mow his own lawn let alone fetch fertilizer, and then why would he fetch it in the Enzo when he has a truck too, surely?

But if he had a truck, why would he need the Enzo?
