oil loss

have a 96 s10 4.3vortec engine that is blowing oil out on the lower half of the engine on drivers side oil is all over chasis parts and the tire
is the oil sending unit on this side could that be leaking or broken if nott what else could cause oil to blow out
have not had a chance to get under the vehicle and inspect it for the problem
would like an idea as what to look for

i found the cause of the leak
oil cooling tube from engine to radiator had a leak
