94 2.2-dead plug

2.2 sideways 4 cylinder.
Not getting fire on #4 plug or not getting enough, causing miss.
Changed plug & wire but didn't help.
I understand coil packs (there's 2) can be a culprit but would both (on one block) not have to be bad? #1 & #4 are on the same block & #1 fires fine.
Even pulled valve cover in case of collapsed spring but they looked good.
Should I gamble on the coil pack? $26.99 at Autozone but looks tough to change out.

Gambled on the coil & it paid off. Apparently one side can work with the other side bad.
Hope this helps someone else down the line.
