My 95 Dakota Sport with a 3.9 engine, manual trans. is flashing trouble
code 12 which is 'memory standby power lost'. What is this and how can it be corrected? |

Re: 1995 Dakota trouble code 12
Over the course of driving under differing conditions, you need to understand that computer on dak.
memory standby power lost means that the power-supply that maintains all of the LEARNED datapoints was lost.LEARNED datapoints are those which are stored in a "map" which relate the proper settings to external conditions such as throttle-position, ambient-temperature, engine-temparture...etc. solution for this problem is to DRIVE THE VEHICLE that causes correct datapoints. The errorcode will reset. |
