Mexican Beetle

Hi all,

I recently purchased a 1997 Mexican classic beetle. What year(s) would be compatible with this one when ordering parts and accessories from the USA? I live in the Caribbean and don't have access to a parts dealer nor a VW mechanic. Any info much appreciated. Chris.

Re: Mexican Beetle

Thank you Franco.
I have visited this site before....the classi beetles go to 1977.
I'll mail them to ask if they can point me in the right direction for the mexican version.

Chris.

Thumbs up Re: Mexican Beetle

Hey Franco!! That is exactly what I needed. I went to site before but after your last post, I saw the part about comparing the Mexican beetle.
It basically comes down to the equivalent of the 1979 classic beetle. The only thing is that mine is fuel injected and electronic ignition.
Thank you thank you.
Chris.
