96 grand am ipc problem

HELLO. My daughter's 96 GA SE 3.1v6 has developed a problem with the IPC. The car will run OK & has dash lights & odometer. The rest of the IPC is dead no speedo, tach, gas gauge. Having search the AF it seems to me that in the 1996 model GA's the IPC is a one year only usage. Everywhere I look the years are 1995 or earlier or 1997 and up. Does anyone have a schematic for this IPC or know where we can get this one repaired/replaced. Or will other years interchange.

hello, ipc is same for 96-98 grand ams
when you get another one you will have to leave the key in on position and wait for security light to stop flashing (about 11min) then start the engine
system will relearn and you will be able to start your engine. good luck

get one from junk yard or Google for ipc repairs so you can send yours in for repair.
